when playing FF7, I noticed that the shinra mansion is set out just like twilight mansion, right down to the entrance to the basement in the right hand top room. so maybe when you are in the pod carousel room in the dark, you notice a faint glow coming from the pod path beyond the wall, so you all work together to move the carousel. eventually you get to one with vincent inside. you bust him open, and he asks about the turks, the heartless, and sephiroth. he'll then turn to cloak and fly to midgar, and track down cloud.
